JetBackup 5 - CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6 and CloudLinux 7 EOL

We have detected that you may be using JetBackup 5 on a CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6 (Extended), or CloudLinux 7 server

CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6 (Extended) and CloudLinux 7 is scheduled for End of Life (EoL) in 6 months on June 30th, 2024 as per their lifecycle (CentOS | CloudLinux). With this in mind, JetApps will also be officially ending support for JetBackup 5 on CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6 and 7 at the same scheduled EoL date on June 30th, 2024.

As part of our continued commitment to expand JetBackup support to more panels and the latest operating systems, JetBackup 5 now supports the following operating systems:

CentOS / RHEL / Oracle Linux 8, 9 64-bit
CloudLinux 8, 9 64-bit
AlmaLinux 8, 9 64-bit
Rocky Linux* 8, 9 64-bit
Ubuntu (LTS) 18.04, 20.04, 22.04 64-bit
Debian 11, 12 64-bit


Here are a few important things to note regarding this End of Life notice:

JetBackup 5 may continue to work on CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6 and CloudLinux 7 servers for an unspecified amount of time if you so choose. However, use of JetBackup 5 after End of Life of an OS is "AT YOUR OWN RISK" with no warranties expressed or implied and WILL NO LONGER receive any future security and/or product updates.

With that said, all current active installations will continue to receive limited support for the duration of JetBackup 5's lifecycle.

To ensure you receive the latest security and product updates for JetBackup 5, please update your server to an x86_64 system with CentOS 8/CloudLinux 8 or above.
