None.

New features

Rocky Linux 8

In cPanel & WHM version 106, you can install cPanel & WHM on the Rocky Linux™ 8 operating system. This installation is experimental and will not be supported until cPanel & WHM version 108.

WHM interface

Customizable Favorites in WHM

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we replaced the Top Tools section with the Favorites section in the WHM Home interface. You can customize the Favorites section with the features that you prefer.

Additionally, we added a Favorites category to WHM’s side navigation menu. Any tools you add to the Favorites section will appear in the Favorites category.

To read more about the Favorites section, read our WHM Interface documentation.

Server and username data added to top navigation

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we restored several requested features to the WHM interface. We added the Username, Hostname, OS, cPanel & WHM version, and Load Averages features to the top navigation of the WHM interface. For more information, read our WHM interface documentation.

New Tweak Setting to allow insecure contact email update

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we added the Allow insecure contact email update setting to the Security section of WHM’s Tweak Settings interface (WHM >> Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings). This setting forces cPanel API2’s CustInfo::savecontactinfo function to accept contact email address updates. You should disable this setting unless legacy applications need it. Integrators should use UAPI’s ContactInformation::set_email_addresses and ContactInformation::unset_email_addresses functions instead.

New Tweak Setting to force short database prefixes

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we added the Force short prefix for MySQL and MariaDB databases setting to the SQL section of WHM’s Tweak Settings interface (WHM >> Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings). This setting forces your server to limit MySQL and MariaDB database prefixes to eight characters.

API Log can now be toggled in Tweak Settings

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we added the Enable API Log option to the Logging section of WHM’s Tweak Settings interface (WHM >> Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings). This setting allows you to log the following:

  • Successful or failed cPanel API 1 function calls.
  • Successful cPanel API 2 function calls.
  • Successful UAPI function calls.

We store this log in the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/api_log file.

Empty Junk button in Roundcube

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we added an Empty Junk button in Roundcube. This button allows you to remove all the messages in the Junk folder at once.

Updated features

Updated the Pricing & Term Agreement

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we updated the Pricing & Term Agreement to Version: 04-29-2022.

Updated the Privacy Policy

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we updated the Privacy Policy to Version: 04-29-2022.

Password required to update contact email address(es)

As of cPanel & WHM version 106, you must provide your password in order to change your contact email address(es) using the Contact Information interface (Home >> Preferences >> Contact Information).

Improved search box in the side navigation menu

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we upgraded the Search tools box in the side navigation menu to show ranked results that prioritize exact matches. For more information, read our WHM interface documentation.

Download and search cPHulk whitelist and blacklist

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we added a search feature to the Whitelist Management and Blacklist Management sections of WHM’s cPHulk Brute Force Protection interface (Home >> Security Center >> cPHulk Brute Force Protection). The Search text box allows you to search entries via IP address or comment.

In addition, we added the ability to download the list of whitelisted or blacklisted IP addresses in a txt file. For more information, read WHM’s cPHulk Brute Force Protection interface (Home >> Security Center >> cPHulk Brute Force Protection) documentation.

Hid the Snowman locale by default

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we hide the i_cpanel_snowmen locale to prevent confusion for cPanel & WHM users. Developers and third-party integrators can use this locale to develop and troubleshoot custom locales. For more information about how to use the i_cpanel_snowmen locale, read our The Snowman Locale documentation.

Updated the Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts interface

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we updated the Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts interface (WHM >> Home >> Multi Account Functions >> Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts). To help support the transition away from our legacy locales, we’ve added a Locale column to our user accounts table and the Search by Locale option. For more information, read our Modify/Upgrade Multiple Accounts interface documentation.

Deprecated and removed items

Deprecated the CentOS 7, CloudLinux 6, and CloudLinux 7 operating systems

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we deprecated the CentOS 7, CloudLinux™ 6, and CloudLinux 7 operating systems. We will remove support for these operating systems in cPanel & WHM version 112. For more information, read our cPanel Deprecation Plan documentation.

Deprecated and removed legacy locales

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we deprecated and removed legacy locales. We now officially support English, Spanish, German, and Russian. In the future, we plan to add support for additional languages as new translations become available. For more information, read our languages support blog post.

Removed the Addon Domains, Alias Domains and Subdomains features

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we removed the Addon Domains, Subdomains, and Alias Domains interfaces from the Jupiter theme. To manage addon domains, subdomains, or domain aliases, use the Domains interface. For more information, read our cPanel Deprecation Plan documentation.

Removed the MyDNS and NSD nameservers

In cPanel & WHM version 106, we removed the MyDNS and NSD nameservers. Servers that still use MyDNS or NSD will automatically update to PowerDNS. Once the servers have updated to PowerDNS, you cannot switch them back to MyDNS or NSD. For more information, read our cPanel Deprecation Plan documentation.
